Plus, your outstanding ability to simplify the guitar anatomy, to share your personal frustrations and experience and revelations in your own career, and your style of teaching have made a profound difference. Suddenly, the idea of music is understandable and accessible, and the craft of playing the guitar can be practiced and built. So, without doubt, you’ve detangled a bunch of clumped up ideas in my head and you’ve clarified a world. Suke is a wonderful, intuitive teacher. Never a cookie-solution to teaching. He truly listens to what a student can do, wants to do, where the gaps are, and what is a natural teaching progression for each student. I had an over 20 year gap in playing guitar, and Suke helped me relearn, learn new ideas and gain the confidence to play out with people again. He is great at finding useful tools and hints to play that are like “light bulbs” going off that make it memorable. It is never just learning by rote.
